How to GUARANTEE success when it comes to NUTRITION...
Online Client: Henry Wade
We all have different goals when it comes to training, whether that be fat loss, body recomposition, muscle gain or performance related goals. But the one thing we do have in common is nutrition, regardless of our goals, our nutrition needs to support our training to ensure we reach them. Without optimal nutrition, we end up with slower progress, if any, and confusion on why we aren't on track. So how can we guarantee success when it comes to nutrition? Here are my top tips on staying on track with food...
"Proper preparation prevents poor performance"
Tip #1
Food prep. It sounds boring and tedious, but allocating that 1-2 hours on a Sunday night to prepare your meals for the week ahead means that you won't have to have a last minute scramble at the local for a meal that doesn't support your goals. Remember, Tupperware is your friend.
Tip#2
Create a better food environment for yourself. We all have certain food triggers, for me, its family pack anythings. I see family pack chocolates, crisps, sweet a test to my ego and if I have any of these at home, they'll be gone in 5 minutes. Make your home and work a better environment by elimination any trigger foods that you have and replace with lower calorie higher protein options. Check out www.iherb.com for an abundance of protein bar selections!
Tip #3
If you really are tight for time or just too lazy to prep your own meals, look to people who will do it for you! As fitness is becoming more and more integrated to our lifestyle and the convenience to access facilities and better food choices become easier, there is bound to be a company near that provide meal prep services that deliver to your door! So if you're willing to part way with a little cash and save yourself the washing, check out some of the meal prep companies around you that can do all the leg work! If you are in Hong Kong, I highly recommend checking out Nutrition Kitchen, they provide delicious macro friendly meals to your doorstep! Check them out here:
