3 TIPS TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR NEW YEAR GOALS
It’s easy to get caught up in it all in January with all the new year resolutioners in the gym. Everyone seems to have put their goals into motion, but what are the best tactics to help achieve your body composition goals? Here, we look at 3 top tips to keep your goals on track:
1) Track EVERYTHING
If you have set yourself a body composition goal, there will be two main things that will determine your success, food and training. These two variables will be the main things you need to control, therefore for you to stay on track and achieve your goals, it would be best to track both. Ensure you are eating the right amount of calories and macronutrients as well as consistently progressing in your training. If you are’t tracking, you are guessing!
2) Become ACCOUNTABLE
Grab a friend or work with a personal trainer to help you stay accountable to your goals. Have weekly check ins and discuss the struggles you go through and figure out ways you can manage them better. Working with someone else will ensure that you make right day to day decisions for your goals. Work as a team and leverage each others support!
3) Challenge your ENVIRONMENT
We succumb to our daily habits, and thats what usually throws us off track for our goals. If you tend to snack in the office, make sure you have draw full of protein bars or low calorie snacks that will support your goals, if you tend to slack in the gym, ditch your phone and grab a stopwatch and time your rest periods, if you don’t get enough sleep, set a bed time alarm where you ditch all your tech 30-40mins before bed and grab a book to read. Make these changes to your environment and put yourself in a better position to succeed!
